We are a family of 6, well 7 as of recent, who have been animal lovers our entire lives. We've had a small farm forever including horses, ducks, and chickens and have done rescue of all types of animals for as long as I can remember (we used to adopt out over 200 pets per year. Then back in 1998 my sister and I had wanted to get into dog events, such as agility. Our mother got us our first Border Collie and Australian Shepherd to start agility and Junior showmanship with. This is how our love of dog sports started, and needless to say, the Border Collies as a breed completely won us over. In 2000 we showed in our very first dog shows and it bloomed from there. When my mother got us into showing Junior Showmanship, this is where our love of conformation shows came from, though we still consistently train in agility and obedience but have not competed nearly as much as we do in conformation. We still also do alot of rescue, but try to be more breed specific towards the Border Collies.
You may wonder where our name, Ammardan, came from. It's a personal touch to us--- my sister, my mother, and I combined our names. Amanda Maryann and Danielle. We showed the dogs together for years, and did so much together. Without my mother, we never would have gotten this far without all of her support and help. She gets most of the recognition for where I am with my dogs today.
