Ammardan Kennels -- Danielle's Horses

My horses have always just been a small, fun hobby. I've trained youngsters for friends and myself, I event over the summers all the while watching my horses be lawn ornaments the rest of the year, and have recently bred a little warmblood filly to bring up myself for dressage and eventing.

I've been riding since I was 8 years old, learning at a huge dressage barn on big, tall warmbloods. I received my first pony around the time I was 9 or 10. He was an ex-barrel racing Quarter pony and boy did he teach me balance, control and how to stay on! Since then I moved on to bigger and better, including wanted to do jumping after I started riding at Pferd. That is when I moved onto Thoroughbreds.

I had a gorgeous mare who came to me right off the track, and a nice older gelding, both of them taking me to my very first shows a few years later. Joy is the one who got me into my love of Thoroughbreds and since have had 3 different Thoroughbreds that I retrained off the track, I also got a Paint as a birthday present when I turned 14. That Paint mare, Lakota, turned me on to my love for Paints.

Sicne losing Lakota to a freak colic episode I got my warmblood gelding to finally get to event with. I've been training at South Farm and eventing for the past 3 years with Dax at mini trials at the beginner novice level (and hopefully moving up to novice this year!).

Now that I have started school my horses have become a bit of an expensive hobby for me, forcing me to place quite a few of them.
