Available older puppies, adults or rescues
It is not rare for a reputable breeder to consider retirement homes for their adult dogs. This is how any breeder manages the dogs they own and is fair to each and everyone of them. Sometimes we occasionally have older puppies or young adults who we've grown out that have not quite turned out for the show ring or for our breeding program, but will still make exceptional companions or performance prospects.
****We do not take lightly adopting out our adults to retirement homes or placing older pups that may have come back to us. PLEASE send a detailed email with your information if you are interested in one of our adult dogs, we will not respond to one-liners. Our adult dogs have an adoption fee to ensure a serious home!
And please remember, just because the dog is an adult does not mean it will be "automatic" and that you do not have to train it like you would a puppy. Adults stress differently and will be confused going into a new home. Some become depressed and will take several weeks to settle in and feel comfortable in their new home. Some dogs may even have accidents from nerves and stress. We want you to still consider an adult, but to also please consider this info when thinking of adult vs puppy!
